Canadian software vendor MultiCorpora R&D recently announced "impressive results" for its 2006 financial year.

Multicorpora R&D, vendor of MultiTrans - a software solution for translation memories and termbases - announced in a March press release that the past year was "marked by the award of the two most important contracts in the company's history, doubling not only its number of users, but also its sales." The company also doubled the number of sales and service offices, opening a site in Brussels, Belgium, to better serve the European market. It also acquired a number of governmental clients in Canada, Switzerland and Germany.

According to the press information, the language industry has shown a highly favorable response to the introduction of the TextBase TM concept, a translation tool that offers the best of both worlds. The underlying concept included in MultiTrans version 4.2 combines the advantages of a translation memory and a context-based translation tool. In the experience of Jean-Pierre Cyr, CA, director of CSF translations, "MultiTrans 4.2 is MultiCorpora's best product yet in terms of robustness and functionality".

The driving force behind the company is the complete solution represented by MultiTrans 4.2, which enables the comprehensive management of multilingual assets and will continue to generate growth in the coming years. Yet MultiCorpora is also committed to stepping up its R&D activities, both internally and in partnerships, always with the goal of increased productivity for language specialists.
