Following the release of TRADOS 7 in June, SDL International presents a world education tour between August 13 and October 1, 2005 to inform users about the new products and their advanced features. These courses address users from large corporations and language service providers as well as freelance translators. Sessions will last one day and will include continental breakfast and lunch. A list of those cities included in the tour is available at www.trados.com.

After the TRADOS take-over by SDL the translation community had expressed concerns about the future availability of TRADOS products, and it seemed like many were opting for the less expansive and fully compatible wordfast programs. This tour, besides educating professionals in using TRADOS, is probably just a measure to increase trust in the software as well as in the new super-corporation, ranked 3rd on Common Sense Advisory's Top 20 LSP Ranking.

To celebrate the recent acquisition of Trados, SDL has now special offers for SDLX 2005 and TRADOS 7. Called the "Power of Two", SDL offers 25% off the combined package of DLX 2005 Professional or Elite edition and TRADOS 7 Team or Team Pro edition. This special offer ends August 22, 2005. Additionally, SDL announced that with the release of TRODOS 7 support for all TRODOS 5.x products is discontinued, except for users with current annual support contracts. Furthermore, support for versions earlier than 6.55 will be discontinued at the end of 2005.
